5 Ways to Get FREE Disney Gift Cards

Whether you’re going on vacation to Walt Disney World or just want to do a little retail therapy on ShopDisney.com, Disney Gift Cards will undoubtedly come in handy! You can use your Disney gift cards to pay towards your trip–I even know of some budget-savvy moms that pay for their ENTIRE trip using discounted Disney gift cards! Or use them to stretch your vacation budget even further: Just one gift card could buy you some Mickey ears. Or a few snacks. Add several gift cards together, and you can treat yourself to an extra character meal or even another night at your resort hotel! You can see where I’m going with this, right? But, did you know you there are several ways to get your hands on Disney Gift Cards for FREE? Below are 5 of my current favorite apps and websites to earn free gift cards (for Disney, as well as many other merchants)!

1. Swagbucks

Chances are, you’re familiar with Swagbucks. If not, Swagbucks is considered a “get paid to” website where you literally get paid to complete offers, surveys, play games, watch videos, print coupons, and more. Turn your earnings into the gift card of your choice, or if you specifically want Disney gift cards, cash out to PayPal. Then use your PayPal balance to buy your Disney gift card (or “stack” the savings by using a credit card that gives you cash back or the Target Red debit card for 5% off your gift card). Swagbucks is super user friendly and has been around for years. I personally know of several moms that have paid for ENTIRE Disney World trips by using Swagbucks! 2. Inbox Dollars

Just like Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars pays you to complete offers, watch videos, answer surveys, and more. Seems like earnings are a tad bit slower with Inbox Dollars, but with any of these methods, slow and steady wins the race. Consistency is everything! 3. Shopkick

I LOVE using Shopkick to earn free gift cards!! Basically, you accumulate “kicks” for scanning items, “checking in” at stores listed on the app, and for uploading receipts (and by checking in, you literally only have to walk by the store). You don’t have to spend a dime to earn “kicks” and you can use this method over and over. Redeem your kicks for electronic Disney gift cards right on the Shopkick app. For a $25 gift card, you’ll need 6,250 kicks, for example. 4. Dabbl

Dabbl is an app that I started using last fall and it’s quickly become a new favorite! Watch short videos (basically just ads for apps, games, etc), answer surveys, or complete offers to earn points. Once you have enough points, turn them into a Disney gift card on the app. Kinda like Shopkick only you don’t need to scan anything. Points add up pretty quickly if you use the app consistently. You’ll need 10,000 points for a $10 gift card. Easy peasy!

5. Disney Movie Rewards

Sign up for Disney Movie Rewards for a super easy way to earn points towards your Disney gift cards! Have a stack of Disney DVD’s lying around? Turn them into points! They’ll also reward you for watching Disney movies released in theaters by uploading your tickets. Occasionally, they’ll post a code on social media, so it literally pays to follow their accounts!

Two BONUS money saving tips:

• Earn a Disney Rewards Redemption card (different from the gift card) through the Disney Premier Chase Visa card. Disney often runs promotions for discounted resort hotel stays for cardholders in addition to earning rewards on your card that you can use later! Rewards plus discounts plus free rewards card? Yes, please! 😍

• Kroger frequently runs a promotion where you get extra fuel points with a gift card purchase. Get your Disney gift card plus a deep discount on gas. Reallocate the savings towards your vacation budget!
