7. VIPKID

VIPKID has established itself in recent years as an industry leader in English as a Second Language (ESL) education. Since 2013, educators have been teaching English to children in China with a focus on American culture, as well. Teachers provide instruction on a one-to-one basis, so there aren’t multiple students to focus on in classes and lessons can be customized and individualized as needed. Instructors benefit from a super flexible scheduling arrangement and pay averages around $20 per hour. Top performers can also be promoted to training and supervisor positions for even higher compensation. Learn more about VIPKID’s requirements and offerings here on their website.

Kaplan has been providing tutoring and instruction in their facilities for decades. Even though they have a well-established presence in traditional brick and mortar facilities, they also have transitioned to online instruction in recent years. Remote jobs have become a mainstay in Kaplan’s workforce and they hire a variety of instructors for K-12, higher education, test preparation as well as proctors for professional certification exams. Kaplan also routinely hires outside of the scope of education for marketing and account management. Find out more about working with Kaplan and how to apply here.

10. American Express

American Express sets a high standard for their work from home agents but it sounds like it’s worth it: pay starts at $16 per hour with competitive benefits as well as quarterly benefits that can be earned. Another cool perk is the ability to “buy” an extra week of vacation annually. Getting hired at American Express can be a pretty rigorous process, as many work from home jobs tend to be. You’ll undergo the typical background check process as well as having your home office inspected for suitability by a representative of American Express. Don’t let the office inspection discourage you from applying for this or any other position that implements this type of process. They are merely wanting to make sure your workspace is secure to minimize fraudulent activity for their clients. Currently, they are offering “virtual” office inspections via webcam during the pandemic. Learn more about working for American Express here.

11. Xerox

Xerox offers one of the most sought after work from home jobs today: data entry with benefits! They offer several other excellent remote work options, too, such as tech support, quality control, and software programming. Some positions are location based with initial on-site training before transitioning to remote work while others are 100% work from home. 12. Dyson

Every job on this list is a solid pick and I try not to pick favorites, but this one tends to stand out for a couple of reasons: great work culture and work-life balance, excellent benefits and compensation (average salary for Dyson employees is around $77,000 per year depending on position). They offer sales, customer service advocates, social media account managers, just to name a few of their work from home options. Much like Xerox, these jobs go fast, so definitely sign up for email notifications here so you don’t miss your chance!

13. Abbott

Abbott Laboratories has been named to Fortune magazine’s best places to work in healthcare and biopharma for 2020, and for good reason. Employees report a high degree of work satisfaction and competitive pay and benefits. They have some jobs that start out in their physical location for training before offering remote work, but they are also offering 100% work from home jobs within the United States. Remote and telecommuting options include sales, customer service, tech support, marketing, and billing. Visit Abbott Laboratories website to get started.

14. CVS Health

When someone mentions CVS, I immediately think of their retail stores with pharmacy. However, they are much more far reaching in the healthcare industry than their pharmacy services. With their in-store Minute Clinics and their remote telemedicine offerings, there are plenty of jobs currently available with CVS Health! They are hiring at every skill and experience level: customer service agents, pharmacy technicians, member services, nurses, case management, healthcare providers–even medical directors. Some positions are location based while others are anywhere within the US. These sorts of jobs are thriving right now in our current situation. Check out their careers page here and filter to include “work from home”.

15. Humana

Healthcare company Humana has been one of the pioneers of home-based work. They hire nurses for care coordination and utilization review management, as well as insurance agents for sales purposes. Currently, they are seeking data scientists, marketing leads, wellness campaign analysts, telecommunications managers, and coding educators. As you can see, that’s much more than insurance sales and nursing jobs! Check out their openings and submit your application here on their careers page.

16. Working Solutions

I already mentioned that I don’t pick favorites and there’s not a dud on this list, but I have to say that I love, love, love Working Solutions! Flexible work options, a variety of clients for you to choose from, paid training, and excellent support make Working Solutions a fantastic option if you are wanting to “dip your toe” into the work from home pool, so to speak. They’re female-owned and founded, and they understand the need that many women have to work from home and balance their family lives–they get it. You set your own schedule, as long as you still meet your minimum hours per week. Their potential client programs include tax software support, art and crafts company sales and support, healthcare, education clients, and several others. If you’re nervous about working from home as an independent contractor and don’t know where to start, I highly suggest Working Solutions, as well as Arise Virtual Solutions and LiveOps. All of these companies are very beginner friendly and are invested in your success!

17. Intuit

Consistently named to Forbes magazine’s Best Places to Work list, Intuit has long been a employer with flexible, remote work options. They offer unique benefits, including unstructured time during the work day (how cool is that?!). In addition to tax experts, Intuit hires sales/customer service agents, account managers, business developers, and accounting positions. Find out more about what Intuit has to offer and how to apply here.

18. BroadPath Healthcare Solutions

BroadPath Healthcare Solutions offers 100% work from home options on a seasonal, temporary, part-time and full-time basis. They currently employ thousands of home-based agents and some of their temporary and seasonal jobs have the opportunity to turn into full-time employment. Likewise, even if you don’t get offered a permanent position, if you perform well on a temporary and seasonal basis, you will have a better shot of getting a full-time job if you reapply. They work with clients such as BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, and UnitedHealth. BroadPath has a number of positions that include claims representatives, compliance auditors, billing and coding services, and health records management.

19. Amazon

Everyone knows retail industry giant Amazon, right? Amazon has hired remote employees long before it became a necessity in 2020. They hire both in the United States as well as internationally for a variety of positions ranging from retail services to account management. One of their openings that I found very interesting this year was an Alexa Data Associate job, which entailed data entry and transcription to help engineers improve Alexa’s speech recognition and training. Pretty interesting, right? They also hire a large number of seasonal opportunities to assist shoppers with the busy holiday season. Check out what they have to offer currently by clicking here.

20. Enterprise Holdings

Enterprise Holdings consists of National Car Rental, Enterprise, and Alamo to make the United States’ largest car rental company. They routinely hire home-based customer service and reservations agents to assist customers with their rental car bookings. Enterprise holds a very high employee satisfaction rating as well as well-received compensation and benefits offerings. Find out more about Enterprise’s current openings as well as their technical requirements here.

21. Dish Network

Last but not least, Dish Network is another company that has led the way in remote work from home hiring options. Why consider Dish Network for your work from home career? They offer benefits such as paid training, bonuses, 401(k), stock purchasing options, insurance, and paid time off. Employees also enjoy free Dish TV in their homes as well as discounted subscription plans. Currently, Dish Network is hiring customer experience representatives, sales account executives, and retention account executives. For example, the retention account representative position starts at $50,000 per year, no college degree required, and opportunity for advancement to corporate departments like finance and marketing, per their website.
